Good Morning from Sydney, Australia my Turbo-Spec Family!
As I stated in my last two posts, we are currently in the motions of updating our website with new branding and features. We are planning to make Turbo-Spec.com about our Turbo-Spec Lifestyle:
Cars – Family – Friendship – Music – Love – Community – Sharing – Clothing and more…
Our aim is to provide you all with a website and community in which we can share our love and passion for anything Turbo-Spec related. There are no exclusions, everyone can be part of the Turbo-Spec.com Family.
We’re about sharing the love anything and everything mechanical: cars, boats, planes, ships, scooters, motorbikes etc… and pretty much the lifestyle that comes with it.
We believe that these common interests and passion enable all of us to communicate, connect and support one another and hence we are a FAMILY.I personally would like to thank everyone that has helped or supported us from the start.
Initially my dream and vision for the
Turbos facebook page was just to share my love of Turbos and cars with other people. At that stage in my life I owned a 1998 B5 Audi Avant 1.8T Quattro, this was my baby and was also some of the inspiration to create the Turbos page.
Fast-forward to June this year 2012 and I reconnected with the page and the dream started. I initially started sharing other car/turbo related page content and shared the love by myself.
Times were tough but what I’ll always remember as some of the best days of this journey, the following quotes helped me through this greatly:
“Anything worth it in life takes hard work” & “Nothing in life worth it comes without some cost”.
Following that there was more and more interest, likes, shares and supports coming in droves which encouraged and motivated me to start looking at the page as more.
I started to interact more with the page and started asking my friends and family what they thought I could implement and do to build it into something that could benefit myself, my family, my friends and all the fans in a positive way.
I asked our Turbos family some questions such as: “Would you visit a Turbo related website and what would you like to see on it?” The response was very encouraging and motivating. From these answers, I then started to work towards something bigger…
One of the biggest turning points in this journey was when one of my closest friends and brother Josh Ong, who founded TCL Consultancy with the vision of helping, growing, encouraging, nurturing and motivating his friends, family and anyone in his network to find their passions and focus and build themselves which in turn provides a more balanced and happy lifestyle. Hearing Josh‘s vision and mission inspired me and also guided me to what Turbo-Spec.com is today.
We came to the conclusion that we needed a website and a name, Josh created the name Turbo-Spec.com and the rest is now history…
I just thought I would personally share an insight on where this page has come from and what our vision is. I really would like to thank everyone that has interacted and assisted us as a team, family and business.
Up until today we have not generated any revenue from this venture, everyone involved provides their support and help either out of freewill/goodwill or out of our own pockets.
Personally I just wanted to share my love and passion with you all. But currently the majority of the Turbos and Turbo-Spec.com Family have jobs. Be that casually, part-time and full-time to support the page.
Yesterday evening Michael Kim from EADC.net.au helped improve the browsing interface for the pleasure of our readers, and most importantly implemented our PAYPAL donate button on our sidebar as this enables us an option for any fans, friends, family members and business’s to support and help our vision.
There are no obligations, minimum amounts or maximum amounts that we expect to receive, but anything donated too this cause will help support and grow what we are trying to build. There are also so many things that we would like to offer and share with everyone but unfortunately due too lack of time, funding and support we can only do so much. These are the main reasons we implemented the donate button.

Thank you to each and every one of you that has taken the time out of your day to read this and be part of the Turbo-Spec Family! we really appreciate it!
Kindest Regards and Best Wishes,
JT aka Jason Tjoeng
